Unrefined oils contain a complex of vitamins, minerals and bioactive components that improve our quality of life. For example, olive oil reduces the risk of breast cancer that has been proven by years of research, and grape seed oil is a record-holder in the content of vitamin E.  For the daily needs of organism there is enough just one tablespoon.

And this is only a small fraction of their unique qualities.

Vegetable oils are saturated or unsaturated and of all known edible oils about 90% are unsaturated. Fatty acids allow us to refer the oil to one or another group.

Well known saturated vegetable oils are so-called “tropical” oils – palm oil, coconut oil and cocoa butter.

For gourmets!

Saturated oil solidifies at room temperature and resembles frozen pork fat. Refined coconut and palm oils have a high smoke point and therefore is perfect for frying vegetables and meat.

In small doses, saturated fats are necessary – strengthens the immune system, protect the liver from harmful substances that have antibacterial properties and play a critical role in maintaining bone system. The diet with low fat content contributes depression. The problem is that every day we are faced with saturated fats, buying in a store chocolate, confectionery or ice cream, so their number in our diet dramatically overstated.

With unsaturated fats situation is diametrically opposite – we use them, generally less than the human organism requires and benefits they bring in ten times more. Unsaturated fats are divided into polyunsaturated and monounsaturated.

Polyunsaturated fatty acids, or vitamin F is indispensable and have to be obtained with food and unrefined vegetable oils are its the best natural sources. Vitamin F is especially important for cardio – vascular system, it prevents the development of atherosclerosis, improves blood circulation. Also, polyunsaturated fatty acids reduce inflammatory processes in the organism and improve the nutrition of tissues. Their regular use helps to improve the digestibility and increase the activity of other vitamins: vitamin A (retinol), B vitamins, vitamin D and vitamin E. As you can see, vitamin F is really indispensable, so unrefined oils must be present in the ration any of us.
